Directions
Alternatively we can send you detailed directions, whether from Calais, Boulogne, Bordeaux or Bergerac. Just ask.
Directions in brief from Perigueux:
From Perigueux follow the signs to Bergerac via the D6021, this should bring you out onto the N21.
Stay on the N21 to a village called Grun-Bordas. There is a church on the hill ahead of you to the left. Turn left just before the church onto the D43 in the direction of Vergt. Proceed for about 5km.
At the large roundabout, take the second exit onto the D8. Carry on for about 9 km through Saint-Miche-de-Villadeix. You’ll pass a sawmill on the left after the village.
Go up the hill and as you reach the top of the hill, there is a crossroads with a sign for Les Roucheloux. Turn left.
This is a small country road. You will pass a driveway on the right; our road is the second right. There is a small house on the corner and a stone cross marks the turn.
Turn right. We’re the first house on the left. Past the house is the gite and there is a parking area for you to use just past the barn on the left.
Directions from Bergerac airport
It is 30 kms and takes about 30 mins from the airport.
Take the road out of the airport.
At the main road turn right (signposted Bergerac).
At the first roundabout take the first right (signposted Sarlat). This takes you along a new bypass (single carriageway). Continue to the roundabout.
At the roundabout go straight across (towards St Alvere)
At the next round about (500 metres) go left, at the next round about (200 metres) turn right (signposted St Alvere 26 km).
Follow this road, the D32 for 20km to Sainte-Foy-de-Longas. The road follows a very pretty valley, through Liorac and Sainte-Foy-de-Longas.
Just as you leave Sainte-Foy-de-Longas take the first left (sign posted St Laurent Des Batons 5km). Follow this road for just over 6km, past the village of St Laurent des Batons and up the hill to a crossroads. PLEASE NOTE: As you approach from the village, there is a disused road which appears as a right hand turn on some sat navs and Google – it is no longer in use and you shouldn’t try to use it, as you could seriously damage your vehicle. Ignore it and proceed up the hill.
There is a sign for Les Roucheloux on the right of the crossroads – turn right.
This is a small country road. You will pass a driveway on the right; our road is the second right. There is a small house on the corner and a stone cross marks the turn.
Turn right. We’re the first house on the left. Past the house is the gite and there is a parking area for you to use just past the barn on the left.
